History

Chapter 663 received its charter on March 13, 1980.  Located in Livermore, California, the Chapter is known as a "builders Chapter" that is, with emphasis on the construction of homebuilt aircraft.  As seen on our "Chapter Aircraft" page, many nationally recognized aircraft have been crafted by Chapter 663 members, with even more winning awards at the local level.  Today, our membership numbers over 80 people.

How to Join EAA Chapter 663

Join the members of EAA 663!  Chapter membership introduces you to a local community of enthusiasts and aviators who get together for breakfasts, fly-outs, meetings, and to help each other with their aviation activities.  Dues are $30 per year.  Contact Mark Palajac, our treasurer, for membership information.  Mark can be contacted at treasurer@eaa663.org or see Mark at one of our monthly meetings.

Meetings

Our meetings begin at 7:30 pm on the first Thursday of each month in the Livermore Airport terminal building. Everyone is welcome to attend!  Meetings generally run from 7:30 pm to 9 - 9:30 pm, with a speaker or program for each meeting.  Members meet at a local restaurant after the meeting for pie.

Technical Counselors

EAA Technical Counselors are experienced airplane builders who visit other EAA members building an aircraft. The goal of the Technical Counselor Program is to help EAA members present a “zero defect” aircraft at its final inspection by the FAA.  Chapter 663's Technical Counselors have been involved in the construction of over 40 homebuilts and include a FAA licensed mechanic/inspector.
